Notes: I love this piece! We needed to deliver a video presentation to customers in a direct mail format. A lot of time and money had gone into the video presentation itself, so it was very important that we now put the finished piece into our customers hands.
It was also important to to tie the entire campaign together and deliver a complete message. This meant reiterating and reinforcing the story that was being told in ads, on our website, and in other marketing materials. That's a lot to deliver considering the small size of the package.
Unlike some of the large box mailings seen in this section, this piece was incredibly compact -- only slightly larger than the DVD itself. Regardless, we managed to create enough real estate for graphics and messaging to deliver the complete product story. This was done by creating multiple folds and flaps and meant that it was important to break the content into logical sections that would fit within the allocated spaces. The folds and flaps also served a second purpose... they held the DVD securely in the center and provided some padding during shipping.
The finished piece simply received a wafer seal to hold the outer flap shut and a mailing label for delivery purposes. The compact size and low weight kept shipping costs very low.
