Jewel Cases

My Role: Creative direction; resource management; budgeting.

Notes: These are two different styles of jewel cases that we designed while I was with Siemens.

The jewel case on the right is pretty straightforward -- blue, leather-like material on the outside with a soft cushioning on the inside top, accented by a heat-stamped logo. Two compartments with gray flocking keep the instruments isolated and protected.

The box on the left has a more modern feel. The outside is finished in a smooth, shiny silver giving it a metallic-like feel. The inside of the box is covered on the top and bottom with tough, flexible, gray latex. The tacky surface of the latex combined with the top dome's flexibility allows for snug, secure fit of various size custom instruments.
