My Role: Project Leader and Creative Director on the client side. No external agency was involved in this piece. Responsibilities included; creative direction; selection of photographer, model, clothing, and location; overseeing photo shoot; and final approval.

Photographer: George Mattei

The location for this shoot was a small booth designed for providing hearing tests. The small size of the room combined with a narrow entryway made it difficult to maneuver the camera and lights.

Additionally, the "patient" is seen through several pieces of soundproof glass. As anyone who has done photography knows, glass and mirrors always create a challenge for photographers and cameramen. This issue was compounded by the narrow dimensions of the room.

After getting a very good final shot, we opted to enhance the image through digital technology (a.k.a. Photoshop). The reflection of the "audiologist" in the glass was superimposed. Had we actually tried to shoot the image with the reflection, the very limited vantage point of the camera would have revealed the camera and lights as well.
