The Flash player to the left displays a 3-D view of the booth which was developed during planning stages of the show. Click on the photos below for detailed views of the finished product.

Planning for these shows began 6-8 months in advance of the event and involved an internal staff of approximately 25 plus various external resources.

My role for these shows was as Senior Marketing Manager and Creative Director. I managed an internal group of 9 and worked closely with outside vendors to ensure all work was completed on time and to specification. I also worked with the rest of the Marketing Department and Senior Managment to develop timelines, messaging, budgets, etc.

The theme for the AAA show each year was developed internally by my department as were all of the graphics and audio visual presentations.

The oversized graphics were very time-consuming because they always taxed the computers' processors when the designers were working on the final versions. Some of these images averaged 4 meters high by 10 meters wide.

These facts made it very important to employ a detailed process which ensured that everyone who needed to approve the finished artwork had the opportunity to do so at the appropriate milestone during the project. Last minute changes were inevitable and always created high stress levels for everyone involved.

Each year we would develop a main message to tie all of our products together and brand the show as Siemens.

The video to the left is our "Always Thinking Ahead" theme and was created soley by internal staff. This saved the company tens of thousands of dollars which would have otherwise been spent on an outside agency for a similar product.

The video is a great example of how stock footage doesn't haven't to come across as such if you create a strong message and take the time to ensure a unified look.
